We are currently seeking to employ a Floating Maintenance Technician to help with our Delaware property locations. This position will float between properties as needed.

$1000 SIGN ON BONUS

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer.
  • Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members.
  • Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned.
  • Sharing on-call responsibility.
  • Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues.
  • Providing own (basic) hand tools.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Attending in-house training as required.
  • Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs.

The ideal candidate will have: 
  • Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools.
  • Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.).
  • Be able to shovel and salt as required.
  • Perform routine, preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
  • Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
  • Able and willing to lift objects as required.
  • Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues.
  • Follow company operational and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work an on-call schedule as required.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values.
  • Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver’s license and working vehicle.
